Dear Parent’s/Guardians:

 As of today, we now have approximately only 13days remaining for our students at BLSMMA for the current school year 2011-12- and our Grade 8 class annually receives the privilege of a ‘head-start’ into summer, so they are officially down to 8 days!  All families are asked to continue to review all dates listed below and the additional information presented here on the website:

 

Thursday, May 17th- Ascension Thursday (School in session)

Friday, May 18th- No School-Vacation Day for Staff/Students (unused snow day)

Wed. May 23rd- BLSMMA Band Concert (7:00 p.m. via Ms. Racke)

Thursday, May 24th- Idlewild Field Trip- BLSMMA Staff/Students

Friday- May 25th- No School-Vacation Day for Staff/Students (unused snow day)

Monday, May 28th- No School-Memorial Day

Wednesday, May 30th- Grade 8 Field Trip (Cedar Point)

Friday, June 1st- ½ day for Students/Staff (11:40 a.m. dismissal)

Sunday, June 3rd- Grade 8 Graduation Mass/Breakfast (9:00)

Monday, June 4th- Kennywood Day for BLSMMA (11:40 a.m. dismissal)

Tuesday, June 5th- Last Day for Students (11:40 dismissal)

On Friday, June 1, 2012 (5-9:00 p.m.) we are having a end-year celebration in the school yard area for BLSMMA current students, their families, former alumni,current and former teachers, local business leaders and all those who played an meaningful role in the life of BLSMMA.

 

We plan to honor the 102 year old community legacy with the following:

                  ~Mass: (Fr. Michael 5:00 p.m.) at the school

                  ~Dinner: (served 6-7:30 p.m.) ‘Cookout Style’ menu:  

                    Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, side dishes 

                  ~ Events:  Face Painting, ‘Balloon Animals’, Tug-of-War,

Football  Toss,Basketball,  and mural drawing on the wall of Sullivan Hall.

~ Entertainment

~ A ‘Power Point’ display for ‘Past & Present’ including a memorable

DVD available for purchase

~ Please come out and help us remember so  

                    “Our Spirit Will Never Die”!

Attached is the flyer for Coach Mark Walsh’s Summer camps at Seton-La Salle High School for boys who will be in Grades 1st through 8th in the Fall of 2012.

 

Boys Day Camp June 11th-15th Grades 5th through 8th (Fall 2012)

Boys Little Hoopers Camp June 18th -21st Grades 1st through 4th (Fall 2012)

Shooting Camp July 3rd, 5th, and 6th.  Grades 3rd – 6th (Fall 2012).  Bishop Canevin is also offering summer camps too.  The information is on their website:  www.bishopcanevin.org.

‘Thanks’ to Mrs. Komorowski for chairing our ‘Labels for Education’: our total is 28,939 points for the current school year 2011-12! The following items will be purchased with the points; to be issued at our last Character Education drawing on May 23rd. On the way to BLSMMA is a Karaoke machine, Digital camera, DVD player, iPod Shuffle, Binoculars and ‘Fuse Beads’!     

Also, ALL students who participated will receive a ‘Free Homework Pass’ during May, too!  Thanks to all of our families who participated in the fundraiser!
